 | Wednesday, September 1st, 1920: America/Asia Announces Best Starter Tatsukichi Kishita took a much-deserved turn in the spotlight earlier today as he accepted the America/Asia Pitcher of the Month award for August. The 27-year-old Rising Sun starter is a relative newcomer to the league, but nonetheless racked up an impressive 6-2 won-lost record in 8 starts. He fanned 42 batters in 65.1 innings and sported a 1.52 ERA. This season to date, Kishita has fashioned a 14-7 mark and 2.73 ERA in 187.2 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .241 against him and he has logged 108 strikeouts. |
