 | Wednesday, August 25th, 1920: Mario Ramos of Mexico City Injured, DTD Mexico City team officials speculated whether star starting pitcher Mario Ramos would be scratched from today's ballgame after he suffered back spasms in yesterday's matchup with the Tokyo Rising Sun. Ramos denied reports that he would miss a lot of time, but added that he would not risk further injury by playing. To this point in the season, Ramos shows a 12-8 record, 24 starts, 178.1 innings, 94 strikeouts and a 2.37 ERA. |
