He suffered a bruised cheekbone while being hit by a pitch in the game today against the Madrid Matadors. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the catcher. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." Heijmans will miss 1-2 weeks. Currently Heijmans is batting .268 with 88 hits and 4 home runs. He has knocked in 43 runs and scored 40 times. |
